Get ready for a riotous, musical comedy! This Tony Award-winning hit features an incredible ensemble cast bringing the high-stakes, hilarious world of overachieving middle schoolers to life. Watch the fierce competition unfold under the watchful eyes of the nostalgic Rona Lisa Peretti (Naomi Jane Voigt) and the easily flustered word pronouncer Vice Principal Douglas Panch (Antonio T. Luna or Sam Campbell), while Mitch Mahoney (Tay Papiese or Romy Cress-Ravel) stands by as the intimidating comfort counselor handing out juice boxes to the losers. The high-stakes stage heats up with an eccentric lineup of spellers, including the sweet, dictionary-loving Olive Ostrovsky (Eva Lundgaard or KayKay Alese), the allergic and arrogant William Barfée (Nico Petersen or Jordan Thrasher), the athletic boy scout Chip Tolentino (Zachary Singer), the politically intense Logainne Schwartzandgrubenierre (Sol Garcia Guevara or Lilly Sebastian), the colorful, home-schooled Leaf Coneybear (Eli Stewart or Caitlin Weber), and the hyper-overachieving Marcy Park (Sophie Menelli or Chloe Voigt). Packed with catchy tunes, unexpected audience participation, and a chaotic yet heartwarming vibe, it is a brilliant celebration of misfit victory.
