Shannon Noel and Stacie Burrows present

An Evening with  Mommy Tonk & The Assless Chaps With special guest Wall of Tom

2 MOMS. 1 GUITAR. CURSING IN PERFECT HARMONY.

Hire the babysitter, call your girlfriends, take your spouse on a date! Mommy Tonk is a musical comedy duo based in Los Angeles. This 90-minute show about motherhood and marriage is packed full of irreverent comedy, heartfelt storytelling, and the prettiest, filthiest music you ever did hear. Backed by The Assless Chaps, a fiddle-based variety trio performing American roots music in a country and bluegrass style, these ladies don’t hold back—they say, or rather sing, what you've been thinking all along.

With special guest Wall of Tom. Wall of Tom's music is a moody journey, twisting your heartstrings down the path of desire, lust, hope and love. The duo behind the alternative rock/country sound are Tommie and Tony, whose chemistry onstage seeped into real life off the stage, breaking the band rule and getting hitched, thus deepening this musical bond that creates the many facets of sound that are so uniquely Wall of Tom.

The Santa Barbara Acoustic Instrument Celebration presents

A Classical Guitar Celebration

with Fiore and Chapdelaine

Giacomo Fiore teaches a diverse set of courses (including 20th/21st Century Classical Music Surveys, Improvisation, Music Appreciation, the Hollywood Musical, and the Music of the Beatles) at the San Francisco Conservatory, UCSC, USF, and Cal State Monterey Bay and serves as the Artistic Director of Tangents Guitar Series. Giacomo will present a contemporary classical repertoire of original pieces including music by California and Santa Barbara-based composers Lou Harrison, Larry Polansky, Garry Eister, and Nick Norton.

Michael Chapdelaine is the only guitarist ever to win First Prize in the world’s top competitions in both the Classical and Fingerstyle genres; the Guitar Foundation of America International Classical Guitar Competition and the National Fingerstyle Championships at the Walnut Valley Bluegrass Festival in Winfield , Kansas. From New York’s Lincoln Center to the Cactus Cafe in Austin, from Milano to Bangkok, Michael continues to enchant, dazzle and surprise audiences and critics alike as he redefines the modern acoustic guitar with his amazing technique, “soulful” expressiveness, and versatility as a performer, composer and arranger/producer.

Presented informally, trading stories and humor, the evening will be a delightful treat for those who love the harmonies of the classical guitar.
