BORDELLO: Art of Ill Repute

A One-Night Extravaganza of Female-Generated Art

Performances by: Shelly Rudolph, Princess Allura, Julie Sabin, live D.J.s, and the Naughty/Nice Girlz Burlesque. Artwork by: Penny Bohn, Cil de Kolda, Jessika Fuhrmaneck, Emily Haopian, Sally Hamilton, Cimmi Jammet, Alicia Le Van, Georgia McDermott, Jeanninie Star, Christina Schwantes, and Carrie Watson.

Bordello: "Art of Ill Repute" is the brain child of eclectid diva Tess Hartwell, retro girl Cimmi Jammet, and is co-produced by urban goddess Alicia Le Van. The night will feature a sophisticated gallery of art produced by local visual artists that explores passion, taboo, and all things feminine. The collection includes obscure yet highly personal portraits of Carrie Watson, sensual nudes of professional photographer Cildee Kolda, erotic yarn paintings by Georgia McDermott, and the controversial "Innocence Lost" series by Penny Bohn, among several other talented women artists.

Bordello will begin with sultry jazz singer Shelly Rudolph performing on the foyer, then soulful vocalist Julie Sabin will entertain you while you sip wine & Soju cocktails on the patio, in between viewing the artwork and tearing up the dance floor. Later, inside the theatre, the lovely Princess Allura will mesmerize the crowd with her exotic bellydance entitled "Sacred Feminine," and at ten o'clock the much-anticipated debut of the haughty Naughty/Nice Girlz burlesque revue; starring the bodacious blonde babe from Boston Luscious Le Van, Santa Barbara's own sassy sweetheart Minxy-Tart, and the double-d delight from Hollywood Miss Darcey Leonard, among others! Working his magic on the decks will be underground L.A.'s most famous screwball D.J. Mr. Prickle, followed by Britain born D.J. Gryphn, host of Smily-Smile on KCSB, spinning deep funky house grooves to help get you in the mood!

With provocative art, sensual music, dancing, drinks and decadent truffles handmade by Jessica Foster, Bordello is sure to be a brow raising event that will serve as the perfect concoction on a sultry summer night that you will definitely want to be mixed up in!
