Following its legendary 1988 Broadway premiere, the musical of Carrie, based on Stephen King's bestselling novel and the 1976 cult classic film, has been newly reworked and fully re-imagined for contemporary audiences. Set today, in the small town of Chamberlain, Maine, Carrie tells the gripping tale of an awkward teen outcast with a powerful gift, her fanatically religious mother, and the classmates who push Carrie from unimaginable humiliation to devastating fury. 

Book by Lawrence D. Cohen (screenwriter of the classic 1976 film), music by Academy Award winner Michael Gore and lyrics by Academy Award winner Dean Pitchford.
