Come see Santa Barbara’s premiere youth dance company at the annual sell-out smash, Configuration, presented by Santa Barbara Dance Arts. We are celebrating 28 years of dance in SB. Configuration is perfect for the entire family and features high-energy hip hop, evocative contemporary, and entertaining jazz numbers that will leave you dancing in your seat. See award winning choreography from Los Angeles choreographers Sierra Kazil and Azuki Umeda and NYC's Chloe Roberst. Plus see work from local favorites, Hannah Hawyard, Jacky Robago, and Alana Tillim. This looks forward to the debut of the MOVEment in Focus Short Film project, the centerpiece of our youth Inclusion Coalition of Move With Purpose. This year we explore stigmas and stereotypes of depression told through dance. Unique to this production, student work shares the stage with professional choreographers; carefully selected nurtured by l mentors while they compete for a $250 cash prize courtesy of American Riviera Bank will be awarded at the opening evening performance. Patron VIP seating available at all shows that will be reserved under your name in the first two rows. Pricing includes a $4 theater surcharge.
