New choreographic works set on professional dancers
Defying not only gravity, but sometimes the laws of economics as well, professional dancers and innovative choreographers continue to celebrate their magic in our community. Principal dancers from State Street Ballet, Santa Barbara Dance Theater, and Minnesota Ballet will move beyond the styles of their respective companies in technically and emotionally challenging new works. Dancers include Alyson Mattoon, Sam Mitchell, Micah Kurtzberg, Bhatia Bilow, Robert Rainey, Thomas McDonnell, Juliana Kouznetsov, Kirsten Stuart, Samuel McKaig, Austin McCormick, and Misa Kelly. Juliana Kouznetsov, currently under contract with the American National Ballet, following engagements the Hartford Ballet and State Street Ballet, and Stephen Kelly, who has worked with American Repertory Dance Company, Ballets Blaska, and Repertory-West Dance Company are the artistic directors.
See the best classical, modern, jazz and break dancers move beyond the styles of their respective companies in technically and emotionally challenging new work.
