Improv Comedy Battle Royale

This June Instant Karma Improv Comedy returns to Center Stage Theater to present one night of spontaneous hilarity on Saturday, June 11, at 8:00 P.M. Audiences relished the genius of Los Angeles’s award-winning Impro Theatre in their past Santa Barbara productions of Jane Austen UnScripted at The New Vic and Twilight Zone UnScripted at Center Stage. Instant Karma Improv Comedy has performed sold-out productions at Center Stage Theater and has now issued an invitation to their creative neighbors from the south. 

In an art form Santa Barbara has not previously seen, these witty, inventive, and always original troupes will face off for one night as they compete for comedy glory. Improvisers from Los Angeles’s Impro Theatre will take on a seasoned Central Coast cast comprised of both Santa Barbara’s own Instant Karma and members of the Ventura Improv Company. Patrons will be able to cheer for their favorites in this hilarious, totally spontaneous, and, well, kinda competitive evening of theater. The rallying cry of the comic competitors: “Float like a butterfly, laugh till you pee!”

Audiences suggestions (and laughter) inspire immediate, ingenious and often outrageous storytelling. The performers create improvised scenes, games, and songs in this completely raw and wild form of entertainment. If you like “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” you’ll love Improv Comedy Battle Royale.

TICKETS: $20 general, $15 students with ID
