Featuring Simpatico

May 16, 2024

Don't miss out on our thrilling jazz concert series as we present the incredible talents of Simpatico on Thursday, May 16th. Embodying “being on the same wavelength” at the core of the group’s sound is the unique, improvisational collaboration between bassist Randy Tico and guitarist Dan Zimmerman. Bringing vocalist Leigh Vance, saxophonist Jacob Scesney, and percussionist Kevin Winard into that fertile setting promises to be a beautiful, dynamic and one time only experience.

Randy Tico’s career spans collaborations with acclaimed jazz nonet Matrix, as well as luminaries like Airto & Flora Purim, Jeff Bridges & the Abiders. Dan Zimmerman brings a jazz musician’s enthusiasm for improvisation to the excitement of rock while playing with the friendly openness of blues and folk. Leigh Demarche Vance enchants audiences with her dynamic voice, blending jazz standards with R&B and pop hits. Adding to the mix the unbelievably versatile Jacob Scesney (Jon Batiste, John Legend and The Jonas Brothers to name a few!) and always grooving percussionist Kevin Winard (Steve Tyrell, Sergio Mendes, Dianne Schuur) makes this concert a must-see for music lovers of all tastes.
