An artistic and edible feast pairing exemplary Center Stage performances, carefully selected from the year’s best work, with great food and libations at the lovely Montecito home of Dan and Katherine Gunther.
Featuring performances by Selah Dance Collective, Josephine Hyde, the Santa Barbara School for Performing Arts and the Westmont College Music Drama Workshop.
We all remember that person who gave us the chance to try something new; who helped us, trusted us and then let us go ahead on our own. For 23 years, Center Stage has been a place where artists find their voice, do their first show, or build a tradition of excellence—Lit Moon, Speaking of Stories, Nebula Dance Lab, Out of the Box Theatre Company, Santa Barbara Dance Alliance, to name just a few. With 196 shows by 60 companies, more than 1,000 performers, and 14,000 audience members in just the last year, we can proudly say— it all begins at Center Stage.
More new production companies get their start at Center Stage than any other venue in Santa Barbara and this is your chance to help us support these aspiring artists. Savory and Sweet combines the pleasure of a wonderfully entertaining afternoon with the great cause of helping us raise $15,000 to upgrade the theater’s sound equipment and sustain our Renter Subsidy Fund.
