Speaking of Stories General Auditions

These auditions are for those who have not performed with Speaking of Stories in the past but are interested in being considered for the 2017 Speaking of Stories season or future productions. The auditions are not for a specific story or specific performance at this point, just for general consideration. 

Auditions will be 5 minutes in length. Please bring an acting resume and headshot, and aim for a 2-minute reading.

You may choose one of the suggested stories (The Flower by Alice Walker or The Word by Robley Wilson) or one of your own choosing (autobiographical material is acceptable). A complete story, rather than an excerpt, offers the best opportunity for you to showcase the rhythm and resolution of the material. A digital copy of the suggested stories can be obtained by emailing cstheater@sbcoxmail.com.

You must have an appointment to audition, walk-ups will not be accepted.

All seating is general admission. All ticket sales are final at the time of purchase. There are no refunds or exchanges. For all performances late seating is on a limited basis, or is not allowed at all once the performance begins. Please plan your arrival time accordingly.
