Tamango is a talented dancer, musician and painter who SDSB audiences will remember from his residency with his company Urban Tap in 2001. For this visit, his revolutionary approach to tap that transforms dance into music will explore the rhythms of the Caribbean. The San Francisco Chronicle writes, "By any standard, Tamango is one of the great dancers of this age."
